Under 11 Blue 7/5

Murray here from the under 11 Blue team after coming fresh off the bye in round one. The kids were super keen to face off against a really tough Noosa team in round two at Coolum. Both teams came out really tight armwrestling the first quarter, barely a point separating the both the quarter time. Some great ruck work from Harvey Road allowed our midfield to open up some nice passages through the middle with Noosa to take a slight lead at halftime. Third quarter saw again was an even contest for him Smalley the animal taking charge just dominating ground balls along with Ana, Ben and Noah in the defensive back hop back line just rappelling this as attack save a few goals which kept us right in there.

Fourth quarter came on and our forward pressure just proved too strong for Noosa couple of late goals Zac putting the game away. Coolum running out winners 36 to 22. Both Garth I were super impressed at the spirit and respect both sides played with with the umpire and generally each other to be commended really that was just awesome to see. Very proud of the kids efforts. Special mention to our first game as for the breakers Max, Zach, Stevie, Sailor, Ivy, Thomas and Eddie, Stevie came up from under nine so first game for her up in the elevens. Best on ground was Flynn, Noah and Ana. Massive game against Pomona next week. Can't wait to see them. Back out of the park. Let's go breakers.
