Under 13 Blue 7/5
Frommy here coach of the under 13 blue div 2 side. We traveled down to Kawana on the weekend for a top of the table clash in round three. After a slow start where we were kept scoreless in the first quarter, the boys worked their way into the game, scoring a couple of goals in the second quarter to go into the halftime break a goal down which was probably a good result as we were out played.
Gave them a bit of a rev up at halftime and they came out cracking in the third quarter very determined effort out scoring Kawana by a couple of goals to go into the last break a goal up with a lot of confidence going into last quarter thinking we could run the game out unfortunately Kawana were a bit too good for us on the day. overpowering isn't last quarter, to run away with a 16 point win. Kawana was six, five 41 to Coolum four, one 25. Lots to learn out of the game. We can take a lot into training this week to work on against Maroochydore next week. So encouraging effort.
Best players the award winners were Nate, Bentley, Callum and the coach's award went to Seb. Seb also kicked a couple of goals as did EJ. So yeah, lots to learn out of the weekend. Looking forward to this week. Coming up against Maroochydore. Have a good week guys.
