Under 9 Blue 30/4

It's Jo here reporting on the breakers under nine and a half Blue players first match of the season against the North Shore jets. Initially the Jets posed a strong challenge up front showing they could goal from distance, but strong work in the midfield eventually limited those opportunities. On attack speedy work by Max saw him contributing nine points in about three minutes and fast moving through our midfield in the third quarter fed clean positions to Oscar, Cooper and Harry who booted a string of goals in the fourth quarter and mark in the goal square from Ollie and Miracle Touch by Maxwell saw a couple more goals put the icing on a strong team performance.  

Awards went to Tucker for his excellent intercept marks and to Vera for getting plenty of the ball and kicking a point in her first ever AFL game and to Kiya who seemed to be absolutely everywhere, recording a string of valuable possessions in midfield and defense. Looking forward to a big effort against the Tigers and Noosa next weekend go the blues
