Under 15 girls 30/4

Listen to audio match report by Coach Ryan Bell below

Okay round 2 match report here Ryan Bell Coach of the under 15 girls. Yesterday we played Calandra Panthers at our ground in Coolum. I've got a lot of time for Caloundra we amalgamated with them three years ago it was nice to see all the girls and watch them run up and hug our girls and congratulate them on the win so that was really good show of sportsmanship. But but yesterday was our day, our fitness and our skill set and game plan really were on show so it was really pleasing to watch that all come together. Really simple stuff but affective our game plan. Just creating that wall, locking it in our forward 50, shepherding was up we still got a bit of work to do on that but was definitely on the improve. The pressure is the big one, that was just insane.

Yesterday, the girls were all over that footy. And if they didn't have it, they'll wrap it up the opposition really, really fast. So just really locked the ball down and we just, we just played to our strengths. So it was really really rewarding to see. We also just slowed it down a fraction we took our time found the player, hit the mark, hit the targets, really, really pleasing to see that. In the stats, I think we had about 45 marks to their 18 so that's sort of definitely paints a picture that we had a lot of the ball a lot of possession. Definitely in our hands a lot, more wins matches. That's pretty plain and simple.

Moving on to the player of the match. So this week, Scarlett Fawcett she was crook all week so the plan was to give her a few spells throughout the game, but you wouldn't, you couldn't tell that she was been sick. She absolutely put on a clinic in the backline she was our heart, heart soul, the backline her courage was just unreal. Her kicking was elite, she played really well. So well done Scarlett.

Matilda, she's one of our rotating rucks. She wrapped really well but the reason she gets the award was her pressure her tackling her bumping her body use on the opposition was just really really good to watch. So well done Matilda and our third player the match Viola Ryan's she kicked three goals but the reason she's getting this award not for the goals is she's she ran hard all day she found her own space. She she demanded the footy. I think she kicked about five behinds all and all she could have walked away with a massive bag but the reality was she made she made space. She got the footy, she worked hard, so well done. That's it for me. I'll see you next week.
